Solving problem. — There are a total of 672 questions in 28 KCSE sample examination papers in KCSE Mathematics Paper I. It is separated into three sections.

Part cam contains 10 solved KCSE sample examinations with a complete scoring rubric. In the marking scheme, accompanying each answered question, the type of mark and the justification for assigning that mark are specified at the point where the mark develops. This is designed to emphasize the significance of “method” in solving mathematics problems. The Author has chosen the simplest solution for each question. There may be alternative approaches to answering the same problems. These approaches have been intentionally omitted as a challenge for the reader.

Part two consists of 18 unresolved KCSE model examination papers that are structured similarly to part one’s solved KCSE model examination papers. This is meant to give adequate practice exercises for the reader.

The third section offers solutions to the unsolved KCSE sample examination papers.
